BEM FISIP Unismuh Makassar Hosts Medical Check-Up with BEM Faculty of Medicine

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR – The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Unismuh Makassar held a Medical Check-Up event which took place at the FISIP Unismuh Makassar Mini Hall on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. This event is part of the work program of the Public Relations Division of BEM FISIP Unismuh Makassar, in collaboration with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine at Unismuh Makassar.

This program was presented as a form of concern for the importance of maintaining the health of the academic community, as well as encouraging awareness of the importance of regular health check-ups within the campus environment.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of BEM FISIP Unismuh Makassar, Ayu Andira, stated that this activity originated from internal discussions regarding students' need for easily accessible health check-up services.

"This activity was born from our discussions and concerns in the Public Relations Division, particularly regarding the necessity of regular health check-ups among students," she said.

In his speech, the Head of BEM FISIP Unismuh Makassar, Abdurrahman Fathir Mubarak, emphasized that the Medical Check-Up is a collaborative program that embodies the synergy between student organizations in presenting programs that provide real benefits to the academic community.

"This program is a form of collaboration between BEM FISIP and the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine at Unismuh Makassar. We hope that such cooperation can continue to bring forth programs that have a positive impact on students and the entire academic community," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Unismuh Makassar, Dr. Andi Luhur Prianto, S.IP., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the event. According to him, the Medical Check-Up is a very beneficial program for the FISIP community as it can raise awareness about the importance of maintaining health.

"This activity is very beneficial for the FISIP community. I hope that programs like this can continue to be implemented in the future. Thank you to the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine for their cooperation and contribution in making this event a success," he said.

The Medical Check-Up event proceeded smoothly and orderly. Enthusiasm was evident from the participation of lecturers, educational staff, and students who followed every stage of the health examination. Through this activity, BEM FISIP Unismuh Makassar hopes to build a culture of healthy living within the campus environment while strengthening inter-institutional collaboration in presenting beneficial programs for the academic community.
